9. Contracting Services Terms

For customers who hire Vetra Newton Concrete to perform concrete work, the following additional terms apply to any written proposal or contract:

• Scope of Work. All work is performed as described in the written proposal. Any changes to scope must be agreed to in writing by both parties and may affect the project price and schedule.
• Payment Terms. Payment schedule and terms are outlined in the written proposal. Invoices not paid by the due date may be subject to a late fee as specified in the proposal.
• Permits. Where required, we will obtain permits on your behalf. Permit fees are included in or added to the project price as noted in the proposal.
• Site Conditions. You are responsible for notifying us of underground utilities, irrigation systems, drainage lines, or other obstructions prior to work beginning. We are not liable for damage to undisclosed utilities or structures.
• Warranty. We warrant that our work will be free from defects in workmanship for one (1) year from the date of substantial completion, subject to normal use and maintenance. This warranty does not cover damage from vehicle loads exceeding those specified in the proposal, tree root intrusion, ground movement, or other conditions outside our control.
• Weather and Curing. Concrete performance is affected by weather conditions during and after the pour. We follow industry best practices for seasonal work but cannot warrant against cracking or surface imperfections caused by conditions outside our control after the project is substantially complete.
• Cancellation. Either party may cancel a scheduled project with reasonable written notice. If materials have been ordered or work has begun, cancellation may be subject to a fee as described in the written proposal.
